Hyderabad: Telangana Higher Education Council Chairperson (TGHEC) Prof V Balakrishna Reddy said that it is a matter of joy that MGU has developed the spirit of accepting challenges and excelling in them, which is an example for other universities.

He said this on Sunday after releasing the first set of question papers with Vice Chairperson Prof Itikala Purushotatam, Prof Mahmood, Secretary Prof Srararam Venkatesh, TG ICET Chairperson Prof Kazhagam Hussain, and Convenor Prof Alathavala Ravi.

Prof Balakista Reddy said that it is a matter of joy that modern technology is being used to conduct the exam in a transparent manner for the students. The computer-based entrance exam, which was conducted in three phases, was held in 93 examination centres from 10 am to 12:30 pm and in 91 examination centers from 2:30 pm to 5 pm.

Out of the 24,330 candidates, 21,897 (90 per cent) candidates attended the first phase, while the remaining 24,330 candidates attended the second phase, with 22,136 (90.98 per cent) candidates attending, said Kanvan Acharya Alatavala Ravi. In the second phase of the examination, the candidates with disabilities were informed that they would be allotted the optional centres of their choice.

Prof Balakista Reddy visited various examination centres in Hyderabad. He reviewed the conduct of the examination with the candidates. The SET Chair and Vice Chair visited various examination centres and reviewed the examination procedure. From MGU’s Commandant and Central Centre, the Convenor reviewed the examination procedure in 93 centers. Damiyatala Ramesh, TCS Technical Experts, and other faculty members were present.
